Legal notice

Terms of use
1 · Purpose
These terms govern access to this website, use of the services offered, and participation in the workshops and guided sessions of Studio être. Registering for a class or session constitutes acceptance of them.
Paid classes, programmes and services are provided by Société ÊTRE. Activities of general interest — public education, the Agora, and work carried out with schools, institutions and citizens — are run by the association STUDIO ÊTRE. Where a given activity is offered by one rather than the other, this is stated at the point of registration.
2 · Services offered
Studio être offers classical yoga, meditation and related practices of the body, taught in person at 50 rue de la Clef, 75005 Paris, and complemented by individually guided sessions depending on the formula chosen.
3 · Registration and payment
Registration becomes effective on receipt of full payment. Prices are shown in euros, inclusive of tax. Studio être may change its prices at any time; a change never applies to a reservation already confirmed. Payment is taken through a secure platform, and no banking data is retained by Studio être.
4 · Responsibility of the participant
By registering, the participant declares themselves fit to undertake physical practice. Anyone in doubt is invited to consult a physician beforehand. Participants are asked to inform their teacher of any relevant health condition, injury or pregnancy before the session begins, and to observe the rules of conduct of the space. Studio être cannot be held responsible for an incident arising from practice unsuited to a participant’s condition, or from a failure to follow instructions.
5 · Intellectual property
The educational content, texts, descriptions, photographs and materials presented are the property of Studio être or of its partners. Reproduction, in whole or in part, is prohibited without prior written authorisation.
6 · Amendment of these terms
Studio être may amend these terms. The version in force is the one published on the date of registration.
7 · Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. In the absence of an amicable settlement, any dispute falls to the competent courts of Paris.
Privacy policy
1 · Data controller
Association STUDIO ÊTRE (RNA W751284989, SIREN 109 935 205) and Société ÊTRE (SIREN 930 819 594), both at 50 rue de la Clef, 75005 Paris, are joint controllers of the personal data collected through this site: the association for the mailing list and general-interest activities, the company for reservations and payments. A single request to the address below is enough to exercise your rights with either.
2 · Data collected
Name; email address; telephone number, if you give one; history of reservations and purchases; and payment data, which is handled by our payment provider and never stored by Studio être. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we collect only the email address you give us.
3 · Purposes
Managing reservations; communicating about a class or session you have booked; and, where you have consented to it, sending news of our activities. Your data is never sold, rented or passed on for commercial purposes.
4 · Processors
Our mailing list is hosted by Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris), whose servers are located in the European Union. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which alone holds the banking data. To serve you the pages, our host, Cloudflare, and Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd), which supplies the typefaces, receive your device’s IP address; no other third party receives your information.
5 · Retention
Data is kept for three years from the last contact or transaction, in line with applicable regulation. A mailing-list subscription is kept until you unsubscribe, which you may do from any message we send.
6 · Your rights
Under the GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection to processing. To exercise them, write to bonjour@studioetre.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority, at cnil.fr.
7 · Cookies
This site uses only cookies that are technically necessary to its operation. We use no advertising cookies and no behavioural tracking. Should any measurement tool be introduced later, it will be a privacy-respecting one and your consent will be requested first.
Cancellation and refund policy
1 · Right of withdrawal
Under article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, leisure services provided on a specific date are exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal. Studio être nevertheless applies the flexible cancellation policy set out below.
2 · Cancellation by the participant
- More than 48 hours before — full refund, or a credit valid for three months, as you prefer.
- Between 24 and 48 hours before — a credit for half the amount paid, valid for three months.
- Less than 24 hours before, or absence without notice — no refund or credit.
3 · Cancellation by Studio être
Should we cancel a session, you will be told as early as possible and offered the choice between rescheduling and a full refund.
4 · How to request a refund
Write to bonjour@studioetre.fr giving your name, the session concerned and the date of reservation. Requests are processed within ten working days, to the original method of payment.
5 · Exceptional circumstances
In duly justified cases — hospitalisation, accident, or a comparable serious circumstance — we will look at the situation case by case and find a suitable solution.
